Partner - Darcy Allan
Biography
Mr. Allan graduated from the University of Calgary in 1977 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Immediately thereafter, he was employed by Collins Barrow and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1979. In June 1981, he was appointed Manager of an audit team.
As Manager, Mr. Allan was responsible for a wide variety of client services and administration of a twenty member audit team. He has served on a number of local and national committees including National Education, Staff Training and Recruitment, Professional Development and Quality Control. In addition, he has instructed various national staff training programs.
In February, 1984, Mr. Allan joined the Special Services Section of Collins Barrow and was actively involved in administering a number of receiverships, bankruptcies, work-outs and debt settlements. Mr. Allan also gained considerable experience in dealing with financial difficulties of non-profit organizations.
In September, 1987, Mr. Allan and a partner acquired a general accounting practice in Canmore, Alberta. Mr. Allan currently works closely with a variety of clients, providing auditing, accounting, taxation and general business services.
